Som svar til Migrenne. Hello Migrenne Thank you very much for your comments. The post is from the war diary / war memoirs of the soldier in the german army Hans Christian Brodersen. The place and date are from his original manuskript, which was published i 1933, and we have republished it on this webpage just as it was written, with mistakes and all. We are aware of the wrong date and place, though. This is also why they will be corrected, when we republish the book in the coming month of januar 2021. According to the regimental history of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 186, the main entrance of the cave collapsed on april 13th and on april 15th there was another collapse of the cave. This will be explained in the book. The foto in the header is not from the Prinz Heinrih Höhle, but from the Königin Höhle near Moulin-sous-Touvent. The fotos in the headers are mainly to give an impression of how the cave may have looked like. When you click on the photo, it will say that it is from Moulin. This is just how WordPresse works. If we had had a foto from the Prinz Heinrich Höhle, that would have been used. Best regards René Rasmussen

Dear Mister,
I fell by chance on your post, i am french a know the history in this sector .
but there some details which are not good:

the “Prinz-heinrich Hohle ” is located at OSTEL and not at VAILLY
the destruction of the ceiling of the quarry happened the 15 april 1917.
I have a photo of the entrance of the quarry in 1915, she doen’t look like the photo on the post.
normaly it’s was soldiers of 7e and 11e compagny which were inside when the accident arrived.
maybe i can help you if you want more details
iam interested by the book but i don’t know listen danish
